More Christmas

I can not believe that Christmas has already came and gone and tomorrow will be the start of 2011. This has been a very fast year but it has been a really great year. Next week I will be making Ailise's One Year Old post. I can not believe it is almost that time already but I am sure there will be plenty of pictures to share in the next few weeks. But for now it's about Christmas.

Christmas Eve was round two of Christmas celebrations for us. This included Christmas with my dad and Yo, my sister Cherish and all her family, then our next stop was Wade's mom and dad's. It was a long afternoon and evening but it was so much fun. I had to work til noon which was a bummer but it did not spoil the fun at all.

First we went out to my dad's house and celebrated with them and my sister and her family were there also. None of the kids wanted to eat because they were to excited to open their presents. Ailise opened a few of her gifts but then she became more interested in what Kelby and Kylee had.

From my dad and Yo she some more Disney movies. This time she got Pinocchio, another copy of Snow White, Oliver and Company, Sword and the Stone, and a Tinkerbell movie.

From Kelby and Kylee and Samuel she got a wooden puzzle and a Leap Frog counting candle toy. She liked to take all the pieces out of the puzzle and try to eat them. The conting candle cake is really cute an Ailise likes when it sings she has not completly figured out the candles yet.

Our next stop was at Wade's mom and dad's. Some of there long time friends the Thornberry's came by for a visit. It was nice to see them and visit for a few minutes. They brought Ailise a Baby Einstein book about letters and animals.

Ailise started to get pretty cranky while we were there so we tried to get her to take a nap while we ate dinner. But I could tell that she really was not feeling to well. She woke up Christmas Eve morning with some congestion and a runny nose again. But we did not let that hold back the fun. After she took a short nap then we moved on to opening gifts. Ailise got a highchair (which she loved sitting on the box and banging on the box more than anything), Fisher Price Laugh and Learn vaccum, some snow boots and some new snow gloves

While we were at his mom and dad's the snow started. We never would have guessed that it would have snowed so much while we were there. But the roads were not to bad to get home they were mainly just slushy. This is our back yard on Christmas morning.

To round out Christmas Eve after we got home and put Ailise in bed Wade and I opened our gifts. This has always been our tradition to exchange with each on Christmas Eve so we decide to keep that tradition this year.

We left cookies and milk for Santa. I did not have time to make cookies so we left fudge covered oreos.

Christmas morning Ailise still was not feeling very good. She got up several times during the night so we did not actually open gift til about 10:30 or so. Now for the final list of gifts that Ailise received from santa/ mom and dad. She got 4 new outfits, Mega Blocks, Ball Popper, Tickle Me Elmo, V-tech my first lap top, some letters for the bath tub, a basketball goal and three fish shaped balls for the bath tub, in her stocking she got several different types of finger treats including puffs, chedder bites, and cookies

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and have a safe and Happy New Year and may 2011 bring many blessings to everyone.

Christmas at Daycare

Yesterday Ailise got to enjoy Christmas at Daycare. This even included a visit from Santa!! Most of the kids were there PJs to daycare they all looked so cute. Santa came and brought all of the kids a gift.

Ailise was not to happy about sitting on Santa's lap. I don't why she has cried the last few times that she has tried to visit Santa. She did so good the very time she saw him in Evansville.

Here are a few pictures that I managed to get.

First Christmas Gathering

This past weekend we had Christmas with my mom.
On Saturday we went to Paducah and had Christmas at my Aunt Shellie's house. It was us, my mom and Dave, Shellie, Darrell, Justin, and Darrell's mom Mary and Wayne. We had a great lunch and did our gift exchange. Ailise did eat a little bit of lunch from the table she ate mashed potatoes and few bites of a roll. Ailise's gift was in a gift bag with tissue paper she loved pulling the paper out of the bag. She got Alice In Woderland on DVD and a Baby's First Christmas ornament. I forgot to take a picture of her gifts but here are a few pictures from the afternoon.

We did not get to spend alot of time in Paducah after we exchanged because we had to get back to Madisonville for Wade's Christmas party for work. It was at one of his bosses house. I was kinda worried before hand because Wade told me we were having turduckin. I have never had turduckin before and I was not sure if I would like it but to my surprise it was good. Ailise wanted to be the center of all the attention at the party but she was a very good girl. She started to get tired at the end but I don't blame her I was getting tired myself we had a busy day. I did not take any pictures at the party but there was about 14 people at the party.

Then on Sunday we got up and started all over again. We went and ate breakfast at Cracker Barrell with my mom, Dave, my sister Cherish, Kelly, Kelby, Kylee and Samuel. I have to just say you can NEVER get good service at that resturant. We had a nice breakfast and spend some good time together. Ailise ate part of a pancake!! Then mom and Dave came back to house and we exchanged gifts with them. Ailise got lots of stuff but I think she liked trying to eat the paper as she unwrapped her presents the best. My mom got her a Chatter Elmo, she absolutly loves that thing. After all of the fun of gifts and mom and Dave left to go back home Ailise needed a nap bad.

Well as you can tell we had a very busy weekend but it was lots of fun and watching Ailise open her gifts made it so much more special. I can not wait for Christmas morning!! Everyone have a GREAT week and a very Merry Christmas
