Another wonderful weekend

We have now had two weekends in a row with wonderful weather. but this weekend also was the first weekend of March madness. Of course we watched lots of basketball especially the Gators game Saturday afternoon. There were alot of good games on Thursday thru Sunday and def some winners that I did not expect.
When I picked Ailise up Friday evening after work from Wade's mom and dad's they were all outside playing. Ailise was playing in Poopies car that he made from the ground up. It is a fast little car but Ailise thinks it is just her size.

Look I can drive this car

Just my size

We did not spend as much time outside as we did last weekend because Ailise did not feel well most of the weekend. She had the runny nose and congestion again. We are almost positive that it is allergies. She a had been off her decongestants/antihistamine medicine for a little over 2 weeks (since she had the tubes put in) and was doing so good. We go back to the ENT on Wednesday for her checkup since the tubes and hopefully everything will be good.

Sunday we went over to Owensboro for a little bit and when we came home we had Emo (Elmo) sippy cups. It was so cute how we ended up with them. Ailise was sitting in the cart at TJ Maxx and I was walking thru the kids stuff where they have shoes and different things. I really was not paying attention to what we were walking by when we first reached that section until Ailise got super excited and saying emo emo. Finally I realized she had seen the two pack of sippy cups. So I handed her the cups thinking she would hold them and be excited with them while I looked and then I would put them down and leave if we did not find anything else. Man was I wrong the rest of the time she kept pointing to Elmo on the cups and saying emo and kept showing it to Wade so needless to say we waited in line just to buy Elmo cups. While we were in line one of the manager ladies walked by and she spoke to Ailise and asked her what she had, I don't think she expected a response, and Ailise pointed and looked at the lady and emo. The lady seemed surprised and told her that she was lucky that she was getting to rake Elmo ho e with her today. So when we got home she carried both of those cups around with her the rest of the night.

What a Beautiful Weekend

The weather here this weekend was beautiful. It was warm and the sun was shining. This weather really made us ready for Spring. I hope this is the first of many weekends to come with great weather.

Saturday I took Ailise to the park to play for the time this year. We went right after she got up from her nap and I took her lunch with us. When we first got there we sat in the gazebo and she ate her lunch and watched the kids running around. She did really good about sitting and eatting but as soon as she was finished she was ready to play. We played on both playground areas, she got in the swing and then she just walked all over a big open grass area. She had so much fun that she did not want to leave. The first time we tried to leave I let her hold my hand and walk to the car but when she realized we were going to the car she started crying and not wanting to walk. I let her go back and play a little longer then the next time I picked her and carried her around the playground one more time and carried her to the car. This she did not put up as big of a fight.

Here are some picture from the park.

14 months

Wow March is already here I can't believe but that also means several things. First Ailise is already 14 months old, that is so hard to believe it feels like just a few months ago I was dreading this month because it meant I had to go back to work and now its already a year later. Wow time sure has went by fast. Second, March means that hopefully Spring and warmer weather is just around the corner (we can at least hope). Third it is the best time of year in college basketball with the NCAA Tournament.

This past month has been a very busy month and also a very active month for our precious little princess.

This past month we celebrated valentine's day, attended a family baby shower, got a glimpse of Spring and go to enjoy the outdoor a few days, spent hours at the doctors office and got tubes put in Ailise's ears.

Here is a 14 month picture of our princess before we get into what all she has been up to and into.

Ailise has many new tricks and like always when I sit down finally to write them all out it never fails I always forget some them.
Stats
When she had her tubes but in she weighted 26 lbs but they did take her length.'
She is wearing mostly 18 month clothes now. Some pants she wears a 12 month especially for the length.
She is wearing a 4 diaper
She is finally in a 4 or 5 shoe depending on the brand and how they run.

** Sleeping has still not been a strong point in our daily routine. She has few nights in a row that she will sleep really good then she may go a week or more and not hardly sleep at all even at night. We thought the tubes were going to fix that problem but its been over a week now and I don't think that is going to fix it.

**Some days she eats really good and other days it feels like she barely eats anything at all. But as you can see from her stats she not going hungry. You can also tell by her little belly that she is not missing out as far as eatting goes. She went through a phase a few weeks ago where the only thing that she would eat for dinner the Gerber Graduate ravioli meals. We felt bad feeding her pasta every night but that was the only this she would eat.

** Bath time is a very fun and entertaining adventure each evening. She loves the bath and loves to play with all her bath toys but she is so active that she wont even sit down and play in the bath she plays standing up and if she sits down its usually just to splash. Whenever I tell her its time for her bath she will go in the bathroom and after i start her water she starts trying to take her pants off but she cant yet. But there is one thing she can take off all by herself...her diaper. But the bad thing about that is she will try to take it off anytime she can get her hands on the tabs, when you are changing her diaper or getting the tub its fine but when you are just trying to change her close or get her clothes back on after a diaper change it can be a trying time.
Ailise loves music still. She dances all the time it so funny to watch her dance. She especially loves the ET by Katie Perry it doesn't matter where is in the house if that song comes on the computer she will walk as fast as she can into the computer room and start dancing. But the funniest is when there is a slower break in the song she just freezes in place and waits for the beat to big back up.
She loves to read now, she will bring a book a say ead and I have to read 3 or 4 books sometimes before she moves on to something else. She especially loves to read all of here Seasame Street books especially if they have Elmo.
Ailise now says emo for Elmo and she can pick him out in anything that you show here. She can also pick out big bird and cookie monster, who she calls cookie. She has the chatter Elmo that she got for Christmas and the chatter cookie monster that we got her a few weeks ago and she loves them both. If we ask her were is Elmo or where is cookie monster or monkey she will o in her room get whichever one e asked for and bring it back to.
Ailise is starting to learn how to pick up things that she has been playing with and put them back. Sometimes she does not get things back in right but at least she tries. She also likes to throw things away in the trash can. If we give her something and ask her to throw it a away she will walk to the trash can throw it away then look in the trash at it then close the lid to the trash can. After she closes the lid even if she didn't throw anything away she will turn around and clap and want your to say yeah. She also know what she is suppose to do to fix her Berber graduate meals because she will get on out of the cabinet and take the paper off fit and throw the paper in the trash, then she will bring us the ravioli bowl and point to the microwave so I will pick her up and she will try to open the microwave then put her bowl in and close the door.
You can ask Ailise where here toes are and she will point them. She also know where her tongue is and her nose. I think that she learned these from reading the sesame street book eye and ears fingers and toes. It is so cute. Even if you tell to be careful with something she is playing and don't drop it on your toe she will put down what she is playing with a point to her toes.
Words that Ailise is now saying new are emo (Elmo), monmon (monkey), nigh nigh (night night).
We are not only walking now Ailise is now walking backwards, sideways and turning I'm circles. It is o funny to watch all of this. She has always pushed her dinosaur ride on toy but on day she just started walking backward also. She is pretty good at she can't go very fast but she can go for a good distance. When she turns in circles she keep one foot still and uses the other one to turn herself she will go around twice and stop do something else for minute then spin again she will do this 4 or 5 times before she falls down.
The cat at wade's mom and dads house is longer safe from her. She will try to pet him now and she will grab his tale and chase around.
We now have 4 teeth and a fifth one is just breaking thru the skin. She does not seem to be having as much trouble with this new one as she with her top front two teeth. Thank goodness she had a rough week or so getting both of those in at the same time last month.

we made through surgery just fine

I am so sorry that I did not update after Ailise’s surgery last Wednesday. Everything went really well with getting the tubes put in. We got to the hospital at 6 am and we were back home about 8:45 am. They took her back to surgery at 10 after 7 and she was back in my arms from recovery before 7:30. I have to say that was a very long 20 minutes, I am so glad that it was not any longer or I might have had a breakdown. Ailise was very attached to her daddy before surgery then afterward she wanted me to hold her and daddy to give her juice to drink so it was a team effort. I thought that she would sleep a lot that day but boy was I wrong. She did finally go to sleep around 915 or 930 in Wade’s arms but by 230 or 3 she was back to herself full force. So far she has not had any problems with the tubes but she is not sleeping any better than she was before either so my hopes are decreasing that this will help our sleeping habits. I feel bad because I did not get any pictures of Ailise at the hospital. She was so cute in her little hospital gown but once they started trying to take her vitals she was not a happy little girl anymore.
They told us to bring a favorite stuffed animal or blanket with us so that she could have it in the recovery room. We took her monkey with us and her blanket that grandma made her before she was born. The monkey was def a good choice. She hugs on that monkey all the time and that day was no different. When the anesthesiologist came to room to take her back for surgery after they had given her some liquid medicine to help relax her Ailise still did not want to go with her but once the lady was holding the monkey she went just fine and we never heard her cry at all going down the hall When Ailise came back to us from recovery the nurse carried her back to us then a little bit later they brought her bed back and her monkey was sitting on the bed and had a surgery match on his face, it was so cute. (I know another photo opportunity missed.)

Wade and I both took the whole day off to be with her just incase she needed anything at all.
Sorry this post is so late and that I missed out on some really cute photos for you. Thanks to everyone who kept us in your thoughts and prayers that day and I can honestly say I hope we never have to go through anything like this again because I don’t know if my nerves can handle it.

Details for Surgery

Well I finally received the call this afternoon with all of details for Ailise's surgery for tubes. She will have surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30 and we have to be at the hospital at 6 am. Yeah, I have to get up even earlier then on days that I have to work. The good news is that she will not have an IV so that is some relief and they told his to bring her favorite blanket or animal to have with her in recovery along with her favorite cup.
I have been nervous all day and I am sure it is only going to get worse as the night goes on and tomorrow morning. I know this is a simple 15-20 minute procedure but I still hate it. Honestly i think the hardest part for her is going to be not having anything to eat or drink after 11 pm tonight. There are alot of nights still that she will wake up a drink a couple of ounces of milk or water and then go back to sleep.

Well I guess that is all for this post I will update again tomorrow after we get home.

LOVE this sweet little face
