3 Months

Sorry this post is so late getting on here. I wrote it a month ago just never got around to getting it posted. I will be adding pictures to this post and posting her 4 month update hopefully later this evening.

I am so glad that spring is finally here but I can not believe that Ailise is already 3 months old. I have already been back at work for a month and I have survived so I guess I will make it thru her going to the babysitters. We were very lucky and found a very nice lady who keeps kids and Ailise seems to enjoy it there. She has had here first cold and I really think it could be allergies. She was better and now is getting congested again since it has been several days since we had any rain.

Ailise continues to grow and change on a daily basis it seems. When she went to the doctor for her cold she weighed 11 lbs and I measured her at 24 inches. We do not go back to the doctor until next month for her 4 month check up and shots. She is so spoiled rotten. She will play by herself for a few minutes but she is always looking to make sure you are in sight and can watch her.

What all is Ailise up to these days? Well just about everything it seems like. Ailise is eating well. Whenever she is not eating she ALWAYS has her hands in her mouth and drooling like crazy. We can not seem to keep her in a dry shirt now because she drools so much. I would almost bet that she is already teething but it just seems so early for that.

She loves to watch TV especially basketball. I really believe we need to record a game to have if we need it when basketball season is over. She will sit and watch basketball or if she is crying it will get her to calm down. She has started watching just about anything you have on though. She loves to kick her legs and move her arms. There are times it looks like she is going to break her vibrating seat because she gets her arms and legs going so fast. She still likes to lay under her little gym thing and play and still is not a fan of tummy time at all. She has started to hold her rattle and will make some noise with it for a little while.

Ailise loves to talk. She coos and makes all kinds of noises now. She has figured out that if she sticks her tongue out while she is cooing it makes a different sound. She will lay and talk for a long time sometimes. Her and Wade can carry on conversations for over 30 minutes or more at one time. We have not heard an official laugh yet but she is getting different noises and sequels. She has the biggest smiles these days. She has dimples in her checks now and they are so cute. She has also learned how to play you with her bottom lip. When she starts to get mad she will stick her lip out but when you start talking to her again or pick her up she gets a big smile on her face.

She is still a good sleeper at night most of the time. The problem is not her sleeping thru the night it is getting her to go to sleep. Normally she will sleep from 10 or so to about 7 am but she fights sleeps so bad. She will lay and fight you for thirty minutes to an hour sometime. I think she is afraid she is going to miss something because once she is asleep and settled she is out.

Ailise still enjoys bath time. She will sit in her tub and kick and splash it is so much fun to watch. She will let you know when she is done with this activity. We usually can make it thru her bath and almost have her lotion all the way on before she gets mad.

We had our First Easter a few weeks ago. This year really was not much different from previous Easter’s because she is still so little. The Easter bunny brought her a pink Bumbo seat and tray for it. She got some bunny ears and a My First Easter bib from Grandma and Grandpa, an outfit and stuffed bunny from Papaw and Yo, several outfits and two stuffed animals from MeMe and Poppie, and Wade’s Aunt Susan sent her several outfit and a little stuffed bunny with a basket. So needless to say she was not shorted on gifts her first Easter. I got her Easter dress at Carter’s she looked like such a big girl in it. We have taken her outside to enjoy some of this nice weather and she does really well except when the sun gets in her eyes.

I think that is about all of the big events that happened this last month with Ailise. Wade and I are doing really good. Wade is spending a lot of his time outside now when he is not at work. He and his dad and one of his friends extended our drive way a few weeks ago. It looks really good and we are enjoying being able to have more room to park. Our grass is growing fast so he has already started his weekly mowing.
I try to take Ailise for a walk a couple days a week after work. I am doing really good I adjusted to being back at work faster and better than I had expected but I always look forward to getting off work to be with Ailise and Wade for the evening and on the weekends.
