New Years Eve

New Years Eve and Welcome 2012

We wanted to do something different this year for New Years Eve and something that would be fun for all three of us. So we decided that we were to go Nashville and spend the night at the Opryland Hotel and get to see all of the lights and things that they had going on there. We knew Ailise would love all the lights and things they had going on.

We left out early Saturday morning and went to Cool Springs to do some shopping. We went to the Nike store which was having so good sales, Old Navy (we did not have much luck there) and to Party City to buy some of her birthday decorations. The Minnie Mouse selection had been really picked over but I did find a few things. We went to the mall for a little bit then headed to the hotel to check in. The hotel was very very busy. The music city bowl game had been Friday night and a lot of Mississippi State fans were staying at the hotel. We probably will not go back on New Years Eve just because of the crowd size but we had a blast. We had a traditional room but it was still really nice. After we got checked in and settled we got back out and went to eat at Bob Evans. Well of course Ailise did not want to eat but that’s nothing new.

When we got back to the hotel the parking lot was crazy full. We went back to our room and rested for awhile and Ailise ran around the room and played on the beds which she loved. Once it got dark we got out and walked around the hotel and looked at all of the lights and decorations. Ailise LOVED it. She especially liked when we went to the open areas by the ball rooms and meetings room that were not very crowded and she was able to run and run. The decorations were beautiful and they still had all of dream works things going on around the hotel.

Needless to say we did not watch the ball drop to ring in 2012. But that’s ok because we were all together when 2012 came in which is what was most important

Christmas Day

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was so much fun this year. Ailise was so excited about her gifts from Santa and all of the presents that she got to open. She wanted everything opened as soon as she unwrapped them so it took quiet a while for us to get all of our gifts opened on Christmas morning.

We only sat up her new doll stuff as her gifts from Santa this year along with her stuffed Donald Duck. She got a baby doll set that had a play pen, stroller, high chair and bouncy seat along with a diaper bag and some play food stuff and bottles. She was so excited when she came into the kitchen. She just kept sawing wow wow.  Then she saw her Donald and she oh Donald. Donald stroller push so she pushed him around in the baby doll stroller.

When she was opening her gifts she would pull off a piece of paper and roll it up and hand it to me before she would pull off any more. It was so funny.
From us she got a mini Dyson vacuum the really suctions so now she can sweep sweep like daddy. She also got Let Rock Elmo, Count and Crunch Cookie Monster, her first cabbage patch doll, a pair of frog pjs, some coloring books. She absolutely loved all of it.

Later in the afternoon on Christmas we went over to my mom’s house again to exchange gifts with them. By this time Ailise kept saying presents presents. At moms she got a new baby doll, and bath tub for her babies with a ducky, a cute Gymboree outfit, a dress, an Elmo’s book that has the sounds on the side.
My mom also had a few gifts from some friends at church. Our friend Dawn got her an Elmo recorder; we appreciate this gift so much. It did not take her long at all to figure out how to make music/noise with it. She also got a Christmas book and stuffed santa from another church friend.

Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Christmas. We were so blessed this year.

Christmas Eve

Well I know once again I am late getting these post up but it has been a very busy week.
Christmas eve was so busy but also so much fun. But who expect anything else this time of year. I could not believe how warn the weather was for Christmas eve this year it was so hard to believe it was already here.
So to start off since Christmas eve was on Saturday we had to go get our traditional Saturday morning donuts from golden glaze but this week I brought home an extra surprise.  Snowman cookies!
Now that we are loaded with sugar for the day time for the fun to begin. First we went to my dad's house for lunch and presents. My sister and get kids were here also so Ailise had a blast playing with kiki (kylee) and kelby. But I really don't think any of the three of them ate much lunch because kelby and kylee were ready to open presents and Ailise was going along with them. From paw and yoyo Ailise got her FIRST SWINGSET and a toddler swing to go with it!! She will have a blast o. This once we get warmer weather again so for now it is still in dads garage. She also got a tag junior reading system and a book for it. Ailise loves to read so I know she is really going to enjoy this gift.
Next we went to wade's mom and dads for dinner and more presents. But before all the fun began there we got to spend some time with some lifelong family friends of there's Jim and Margaret Thornberry it is always nice to see them. Of course Ailise got a gift from them which was def not expected but they ate so sweet. She got two puzzles one Dora and one fairies puzzle she absolutely loved the Dora puzzle as soon as she saw who was I it.
From her mini and papa she got another SWINGSET! This one is for there house so they will have lots of fun during the week while mommy and daddy are at work with this one. She also got a Dora table and chair set, a stuffed Donald a snowman plush with blanket a pair of doggy pajamas a cute puppy dress and a double sided easel and lots of drawing stuff. She made out like a bandit and was so excite and overwhelmed she didn't know what to lay with first.
After getting everything cleaned up Ailise took a quick shower and got into her pjs because we were pretty sure she would not make home awake. But she did but it was not long after we got home she was sound asleep.
After she went to sleep wade and I exchanged our gifts with each other. This something that we have always done and it's so much fun. He always does such a good job with gifts I got a mothers family birthstone ring, a diamond necklace, a new blow dryer and two new Vera Bradley cosmetic bages(there were greatly needed). Wade got hangover 2 DVD the double screwdriver that they advertise on t, some new socks of course that's a tradition and some best buy gift cards. He is always so hard to buy for.

Now it was time for santa to come visit and everyone to get some much needs sleep after such a busy day.
