8 Months!

Well we have already gone though another month and now another season. I know it will still be warm for a little while longer but since Labor Day marks the end of summer it is time to start getting ready for fall. I like fall but I really do not look forward to winter at all. I hope everyone had a great long weekend. We enjoyed ours for sure. Saturday Ailise and I had a yard sale with Tiffany and her little girl it was nice spending time with them even though we did not have a huge turn out. Ailise was such a good girl the whole time and even took a few short cat naps.

Saturday was also the big start of college football so of course that is what was on TV all day. It is now really time for me to get in gear and find Ailise a new Gator cheerleader outfit. Then Sunday we took it easy for the most part. We all went over to some old friends of Wade’s and Wade’s parents for a cookout and went for a nice walk. The extra day off was much needed and very much enjoyed I wish every weekend was a 3 day weekend.

Now moving on the happenings of the month but first here are her 8 month pictures.

**We are all fighting allergies and congestion. Ailise has been congested again so I called the doctor and he told me to start her on a daily dose of Claritin and see how she does with it. She does seem to be doing better. I feel sorry for her because I am afraid she is going to have bad allergies and sinus issues just like mommy and daddy.

**She now has 1 tooth and the second is coming in now. You can see the tooth and barely feel. She continues to drool constantly and she plays with her tongue a lot and chews on everything so hopefully we will have some more soon so that she can feel better.

** Ailise is a happy baby. She does get a little cranky when she is sleepy or hungry. She is full of smiles and jabbers all the time and laughs some.

** I took Ailise to another birthday party this month. Our freinds Nikki and Charlie's little boy Colton turned one. His party was at the park but it was rainy so we had to stay under the shelter but the kids still had fun. Ailise liked playing with the balloons and the strings.

**Laughs are getting a little bit easier to get out of her. But deep belly laughs are still impossible to get. She is so funny its seems like she tries to hold her laugh in so it usually comes out as a grunt or little laugh.

** She is now saying momma and sometimes it sounds like she say bye and hey.

**Ailise has learned how to clap her hands. It is so cute she does it all the time. All you have to do is yeah or get her excited and she starts clapping.

** Ailise is still army crawling around but she can def get to where she wants to go. If she sees anything on the floor that she wants she can get herself from the sitting position onto her belly and crawl over to it. We were all in the kitchen one night and Wade had a bag of iced animal crackers and she took off to get the bag from him.

** Wade and I def laugh at Ailise a lot these days. Between the funny faces that she makes and her trying to get different things there is always a lot of entertainment. If we have anything then she thinks she needs it and tries to get it.

**Ailise still loves bath time. However, it is getting harder and harder to wash her. She does not want to sit still she is always trying to play with everything in her tub or she is trying to hang over the side of her tub to play with the bottom of the big tub. She has also figured out how to almost stand up in her tub. So we may be switching to the big tub very soon.

** Ailise still eats well. We are having some trouble with the veggies she eats them just fine but they seem to be hurting her stomach sometimes so I am going to watch her more closely with each and try to figure out maybe if its one or two that are doing or all of them. She also has started to eat the little puffs. It is so funny to watch she has figured out how to pick them up and eat them herself but sometimes it takes a few tries to actually get it in her mouth. She does not have the pincer grasp completely figured out but she is getting close. She is doing very good with her sippy cups and has done well with all of the juices that we have given her.

**She is trying really hard to pull up by herself. She can pull up with your fingers and she really tries to pull up on your shirt or pant leg but she hasn’t gotten it yet.

** Our sleeping routine is still out of routine. She may sleep thru the night for a few nights straight then she will go a few nights where she wakes up one or two times. Most of the time when she wakes up I can go in there and either rub her head or pat her back and she will go back to sleep but sometimes I have to pick her up and hold her for a few minutes.

** Blues Clues and the little moose that comes on Nick Jr between shows are by far her favorite things to watch. Wade printed a picture of the moose off the internet and she loves that pictures. She always gets so excite when she sees it and hold on to tight. We also got her a Blue’s clue ty beanie and she carries him around by his ear a lot.

**Ailise still loves to be outside or just out and about. We have been able to take her outside more here lately since it has cooled off some. Her and I have gone and walked a few times and I have taken her to the park and let her swing some also.

** This couple of weeks I think she has starting having separation anxiety. She has cried a couple of different days when I left her at the babysitters and even a few times when we left her with wade’s mom and dad. It seems like we can not walk out of her sight with out her crying. These are cries with real tears going down her cheek now and that breaks my heart.

**She has figured out how to get our attention if she thinks we are not paying attention to her. She will start squealing really loud. If I am holding her and standing next to Wade and he is on the computer she will reach down and try to grab his hear or ear or nose anything that she can get a hold of it is so funny. She def wants to be the center of attention.

**When it is time to change her diaper or clothes is getting to be a lot of work. She is always moving and now she will roll over on her changing table which makes it even more difficult. But changing her on the floor so better because then after she rolls over she tries to take of crawling.

**She will let you know when she wants you to pick her up or when she wants someone else to hold her now. She will reach out for you now which is so cute and makes me feel so good when she reaches out for me. This past weekend she wanted Wade to hold her a lot.

**My mom made Ailise a neck pillow to go in her car seat to try to hold her head up better when she falls asleep in the car. It does help some but if you put in on her when she first gets in the car she takes it off and then it does no good so if we are going to be in the car awhile I will try to put it on her after she falls asleep.

**Wade spiked her hair one day. It was so cute and funny. I did not realize that  her hair was so long until he did this.
