What a big weekend we had

I have to say this is past weekend was probably one of the fastest weekends that we have had in a very long time but it was filled with so much fun.
Wade had to be in Indianapolis this past weekend for work. This time it was different though Ailise and I went up to Indy also to spend time with so that we would not have to go without seeing him for 4 days. I really don't know that we would have made it that long without seeing him. He left Thursday afternoon sometime so Ailise did not get to see him at all Thursday and you could tell Friday that she was missing him. I drove up with Ailise Friday evening after work, it was late when we got to Indy but it was well worth it. Ailise did really good in the car, she slept maybe 45 minutes or so but stayed awake the rest of the time. I could tell she was getting restless the last hour but I was not stopping by ourself and it being dark but she made it just fine. Wade meet us in the parking garage when we got to the hotel and her half asleep eyes lit up and was wide awake as soon she saw him. It was so sweet.
We stayed at University Place Hotel near downtown. It was a nice hotel. This was the first time that Ailise had spent the night in a hotel. She loved it because she got a bed all to herself with a pillow fort around her. Between the condo on vacation and now the hotel I think she is really liking sleeping in a big bed. We may have to consider something different for her at home before to long because getting her transition back to her baby bed is not fun. She is such a mover in her sleep and I think she wakes herself up when she moves to much in the baby bed. Her favorite part of the hotel room was wanting to play with the phone. I finally ended up unplugging one of the phones and she would carry it around base and all pretending to talk on the phone.
Saturday while Wade was at his market  for work we had a girls day out that was all about Ailise. My mom had been in Indy Friday with some people from work so she stayed the night in Indy and spent the day with us Saturday. It was great to get to spend time with her we all had so much fun.
We started off eating breakfast with mom at her hotel then we headed out to Fashion Mall Keystone. This was a highend mall we did not stay long here. We went to Apple Store and Gymboree then it was time to do head to our main destination for the day.
THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM
Before we went I was trying to decide if this would be something that Ailise would like or if it would be to big for her but I am so glad that we went. This place was amazing and was definitely worth every penny that we spent to get in.

Our first stop was the Dora and Deigo room. It took Ailise a few minutes to figure out what all was going on and how everything worked but once she got the hang of the first activity center she was off. She loved this piggy bank activity. Next we walked thru the Barbie room so that she could take a break and relax in her stroller for a few minutes. Her other favorite room was Playscapes which also had Baby Playscapes then our final stop was at the carousel. Then 5 1/2 hours later we headed back to the parking garage. Ailise did not even make to the skywalk back to the garage before we was finally asleep. She had so much fun and played so hard all day. This is definitely  something that we will need to do again with her but hopefully next time Wade will be able to go with us.

After the museum we went to Olive Garden for dinner. Then it was back to the hotel to see Wade since he was finished with market for the day. His boss had made them reservations for dinner at Weber Grill in downtown Indy and since Ailise and I had already ate we were going to stay back at the hotel and wait for him to get back, we did not want impose. We walked down to the lobby with him but as soon as he turned to leave Ailise starting crying so a minute later her came back and said that Jon wanted to know if we wanted to go, so we did. I had not brought anything down from the room with us no diaper bag no toys nothing and we were taking off to downtown Indy to a restaurant. Ailise did really good she sat in her highchair and entertained herself and everyone else. I know I probably say this alot but I just can not believe how good of a little girl she is. She very very rarely gives us any problems especially out in public. She has the best personality and absolutely loves being around people.
Sunday morning after Wade left to go back to his market Ailise and I slept in a little awhile. Once we got up and going it was time for us to head back home :(. We did not want to leave since Wade was not coming home with us but we had to. Ailise was so worn out from the busy weekend that she slept most of the way home. We did stop in Evansville on our way back and go to Sam's and the mall to give her a break from the car seat and we needed a few things from Sams. When we went to the mall we ate lunch at the food court and Ailise got to the carousel. She seems to love carousel's she really like this one because she was able to ride on one of the horses that moved. Sorry I don't why this picture will not rotate.
After the mall we finished our trip home. It was such a fun and busy weekend. We still had to go two nights without Wade but 2 is better than 4. Only 2 nights one at the beginning and one at the end of trip was much more bearably especially as attached as this little girl is to her daddy. We will definitely be waiting for him this evening.
Here are a few short video clips that I took at the museum.

I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and little girl in my life I really can not imagine what my life would be like without them.

16 Months

My oh my how this last month just flew right by us. Ailise is now 16 months old and we have had a busy month. We have celebrated several occasions and as you can tell from my last post had our First Family Vacation. Ailise continues to grow and change on what seems to be a daily basis.

Her is a picture of Ailise at 16 months old. Look how much she is changing.
I meant to post an entry for Easter all on its own but time got away from me so I will just add it to this post. I had Ailise's pictures made at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago I did get those posted. They were all so good. We had a good Easter my mom and Dave came in from northern Indiana so we got to spend time with them and we spend some time at Wade's mom and dad's house. We did not get to see my dad on Easter because Ailise did not sleep well the night before then she decided to take over a 2 hour nap after church. She enjoyed her Easter basket but I think she was not sure what it was for. The Easter Bunny left her a kitchen set at Meme and Poppie's for her to play with during the week. She absolutly LOVED it. It came with a shopping cart and all of the utilies and everything needed she also got an Elmo basket from them. Here are some pictures of her with her Easter things.

Daddy and Ailise

We celebrated Mother's Day this past weekend. I have to admit that I absolutely LOVE being a mother to this sweet little girl. Our lives have changed so much and I honestly do not know what I would ever do without her. She knows how to make me laugh and brightens my day with her little face bright blue eyes and adorable smile. I hope that she grows up to loving and wonderful wife and mother some day and look up to me like I look to my mom for advice.
We had a terrific vacation to Gulf Shores last week. Family vacations are always fun but this one was extra special being Ailise's first vacation. She loved the beach and ocean very much. I look forward to many more wonderful vacations and wonderful vacation memories. Ailise got sick the Thursday before we were leaving on Sunday but luckily she was feeling better after a few days of antibiotics. She def gave me a major scare when I picked her up that Thursday she had a temp of 103.1 and was not herself at all. All they could find was that her throat was really red and really swollen but she would not stop crying long enough to get a good listen to her lungs.
Now on to an update on what all Ailise is up to these days.
**She absolutely LOVES to be outside. I think she would stay outside all day if we would let her. I am so glad that it warm now and she can spend more time outside.
**For the most part she is sleeping much better. We still have bad nights on occasion but this past month those mostly came when she was sick or cutting teeth. Some nights she will sleep around 8 hours and other nights she will sleep 10 or 11 hours.
**She is still eatting good. Some days it seems like she will eat all day and other days she just picks but overall she is not hurting for food. You can tell that by looking at her belly. She still does not like to eat bread or potatoes, which is a huge suprise. But she loves to eat fruits, ravioli, cereal, nutrigrain bars, lunch meat, hot dogs, green beans, sometimes okra, and she LOVES Jr Mints (thanks to her daddy).

** Bathtime is still so much fun. She loves to play in the tub with her toys. Right now her favorite toy is her little hippo. She can now say hippo it is so cute to listen to.

**Walking is becoming a thing of the fast we are not at a fast walk almost run everywhere. She has fallen a few times already because she gets going way to fast a trips. It is so funny to watch because when she gets going really fast she leans forward and this sometimes causes her to fall also.
**Ailise tries to say Please and Thank You. She is really good about saying Thank You whenever someone hands her something. We are still working on saying please when she wants something. She also says Love You, Elmo, Minnie, Hippo, and she will hollar hey if Wade yells from another room she will mock him, along with everything else that she has been saying. She tries to repeat anything that we say to her and it is so funny especially when she tires to say big bird, diaper and poppie.

**She has been a daddys girl alot this past month. She still loves to be with mommy especially when she does not feel good or is sleepy but if she is moving around she wants her daddy. She will follow him around everywhere he goes. If he gets out her site she will hollar dada til she sees him again. She loves to mock everything he says.
**Ailise knows how to do the motions for "If your Happy and you know it", "Ring around the rosie", "patty cake"(which she has done for a long time), and she tries to do "itsy Bitsy Spider". The itsy bitsy spider is so funny to watch she tries to her spider but it ends up being her whole arm instead of just her fingers.
**This little girl is not afraid of anything. She will climb on everything she possibily can, she loves to lifted in the air, she loves when daddy will flip her on the bed. I am thinking she will def a run riding partner at amusment parks for mommy.
climbing on her dinasour

**She loves Elmo, Minnie and Blue's Clues. She loves to play with all of her Elmo toys. Blue's Clues is the one show that she will actually stop and watch the entire episode. It is so rare to get this child to sit still for more than a few minutes.

**She pretends alot now. Sometimes we wonder what is really going on her mind. She will just be jabbering up a storm to whatever she is playing with or to us. I only wish I knew what she was really saying. I have a feeling as she gets older she is going to be a big talker.

**She absolutely HATES for you to try to brush her teeth. This and trying to cute her finger nails and the two things that she will fight you on and throw a fit.

**I have no clue where she picked this up at put she has started this funny laugh and snort. We really get her laughing when ever we tickle each other. She think it is the funniest thing if Wade is tickling me on the floor, she will laugh and laugh and get right beside us and laugh. Then when he stops she will walk over tickle me. She also laughs if she comes up to you and tickles you or gets you and you say ouch. Anything that happens and you say ouch she just cracks up.

Well I guess that is all for this update I am sure there is plenty more I could go on about but I will end here and leave you with a few more pictures from the past month.
