Easter Pictures

We finally took Ailise to have her Easter pictures made last night at Picture Me in Wal-Mart. I know nothing like waiting til last minute but all I can say is at least I got them done. We always have such good luck with pictures at Wal-Mart I know alot of people don't like them but I have nothing but positive experiences there. This time I have to say was our fastest session ever. We only got 15 pictures made before she was finished with the idea and ready to run around Wal-Mart and she did escape a couple times.

Here are her proofs from last night. I love that she is so photogenic but that makes deciding on what to buy so much harder.

I hope everyone has a good Easter. Looks like it is going to be a wet on here.

Sugarland!!

Even though it was cooler this weekend then the past few have been we still had a great weekend. Saturday Wade and I had a date day and night in Nashville. He had bought me tickets to Sugarland concert with Little Big Town opening (because he is an awsome husband and know how much I love both of these bands.) So the concert was Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena but we made a full day out of it. Ailise stayed with Wade's mom and dad while we were in Nashville. We left around 10 that morning so that we could do some shopping. We have not been shopping in Nashville since the flood last May. We went to Rivergate mall (which is where a Carter's and OshKosh store are now just incase anyone was looking for one since Opry Mills is closed) and we went to Cool Springs Galleria ( there is a Nike store and Old Navy but not in the mall they are stand alone but close to the mall).
The concert was AWSOME!! I have to say that was probably one of the best concerts we have ever been to. Little Big Town was good but Sugarland was AWSOME!! They sang all of their hits and some of the songs off the new album. Sugarland played for almost 2 hours nonstop.

Then Sunday whenever we got back to Madisonville and picked Ailise up we went to Walmart they were suppose to having a free picture with the Easter Bunny. We had tried to get her to see the Easter Bunny a few weeks ago when we were in Evansville and that was a total disaster so I thought we could try again. When we got to Walmart we found out that it was not a real Easter Bunny it was a Easter scene with a bunny so that went over much better.

Then after her nap I decided we would go to the park for a little while to get some fresh air and run off some of rejuvinated energy.

Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend and a has a great week. I will def try to update again next Monday with Easter pictures.

15 months old

Ailise turned 15 months old last Thursday on the 7th so of course this post is a little late. She had her 15 month check up on Tuesday so I waited until we got finished with that to post since I was already last.

Here are her stats from her check up:
Height: 29 1/2 inches but she was very squirmy so it may be off a little
Weight: 25 lbs
overall: Dr Mac said that overall she was doing good her tubes looked good there was no fluid or infection and her heart lungs and chest all sounded good. She is just a growing little girl.

Every month that goes by Ailise is turning more and more into a toddler and little girl and further away from being a baby anymore. There are times when I really wish she was still a baby just because I am not ready for her to grow up yet. But I def love this toddler stage and watching her grow and discover new things.

These past few weekends have been so nice and warm . Ailise is loves that we can be outside again. She just enjoys runinng back and forth across the yard and up and down the drive way and picking flowers. We need to get her some outdoors toys so she can have more to do outside. Ailise will threw a fit everytime I made her go inside this past weekend either to eat, change her diaper or take a nap. I think she would stay outside all the time if we let her.

She is eatting really good right now. We still have a few days where she gets picky or does not want to eat but for the most part this past month she has been a good eatter. She still loves the Gerber raviloi, she likes hotdogs, sandwich meat, chicken, hamburger meat, cereal, nutrigrain bars, cheese, sometimes carrots and peas, green beans, tomatoes, applesauce, yogurt, banannas, peaches, pears, sometimes she will eat potatoes. She tried some pulled pork this past weekend and liked it. She can eat just about anything she wants now unless it is a tougher meat. One big thing that she still does not like is bread or rolls she does not even like to touch it. She always wants to eat whatever her daddy has especially if he is eatting something chocolate, she loves if he shares his junior mints or andes mint I never would of guessed she would like mint so much. She drinks mainly water and milk and some juice every few days but to much juice seems to hurt her belly. Sometimes Ailise will only eat if she feds us some her food first, sometimes she will give you something and she wants you to leave it hanging out of your mouth and bend down or lean over and she will open her mouth and take from you with her mouth. She is such a silly little girl.

She knows where the milk is and alot of the food so when I ask her if she wants to get something to eat she says ya and goes to the refrigerator and tries to open the door. It is so funny, she will stand there pulling at the handle until someone goes and opens it for her. Then once you get some food out she will walk over to her highchair and reach to get in it. When she is at Wade's mom and dads during the week they have one of those chairs that you buckle into a regular chair but they will set it on the floor in and Ailise is will get in it and sit down and try to put the tray on and wait for her food. This girl is def living up to her last name right.

Ailise has learned where certain things are suppose to be or go and she will take them and try to put them up. If we give her some paper she will take it and put it in the trash can. The other day I had my cell phone on the bathroom counter while she was taking a bath and after she got her pjs on she saw it and got it down and took to the living room and was trying to reach my purse on the table to put it in there. Wade was trying on a pair of shoes he had ordered and while he was trying them on Ailise got the box and took it to the trash can. She will also come up to me now and hold her nose and say shew so I will ask her if she needs me to change her diaper and she says "ya". Sometimes she will bring me a diaper and say shew.
Sleeping has been better for the most part since she got her tubes but in last month. We still have our bad nights every once in a while but I am sure that is going to be the case for some time because she will still be teething for a while. Right now our biggest battle is getting her to go to sleep. She will fight you for over an hour some nights before she goes to sleep. We try to keep a constant bedtime schedule and some nights it works great and other nights no go great. She still will not lay down in her bed and go to sleep on her own. We are working on this but last night when I layed her down after rocking her she just played in her bed and pulled her animals and things off her changing table into her bed for about 45 minutes before she started screaming and crying. Does any have any suggestions on how to help her put herself to sleep with out crying it out?

Bath time is still a blast. She has always loved to take a bath and so far that has not changed. Now I ask her if she is ready to go take a bath and she will say "ya" and walk to the bathroom and wait for me to start her water. If she is playing in the bathroom while I am getting things ready as soon as I turn the water on she say "ohhh" and walks over to the tub and starts trying to take her shirt off. She loves to help get undressed for her bath, but getting our pjs on after bath is another story she would rather walk around naked.

Getting dressed is a topic all for its self now. She will get a shirt out of her drawer or if i have her an outfit laying on the floor she will pick up the shirt and try put it on her head. She has not figured out exactly how to do it yet but she is trying. Ailise loves to try to put her socks and shoes on by herself now also. It is so funny to watch her she know what she is suppose to do with her socks and shoes but she just has not figured out how to get them on yet and she HATES when you do it for her.

almost got her sock on
trying to put her shoe on
Ailise has learned to climb up stairs and she loves it. The thing is she doesn't want to climb them just once she will climb up and want down many many times. With climbing these stairs also came our first chin booboo but it is almost healed now and I'm sure there will be many more boo boos to come. She does good with stairs but she has not figured out the step off from the patio to the yard or drive way so we try to always stop her and get her hand before she takes these step offs so she does not fall.

Ailise has started trying to hide things between her legs or behind her back like we do when we dont want her to get something. But now when she does it she will hide it then hold her hands and you ask her where did your car or whatever she had go and she will pull it out and say ahhhh. It is so cute that she has learned about hiding. She will also stand at the end of our bar and I will by the kitchen sink or stove and say Where's Ailise? and she will come running from beside the bar and say ahhhh and start laughing.

Ailise's imagination is growing more and more everyday. She loves to carry her phone around and pretend that she is talking on it. But now is she will be talking away on her phone then she will go sit on her little dragon ride on toy and keep talking it is so funny. Then when she gets tired of riding it she will stop and sit almost on the the back edge of it and put her feet up on the seat. She also loves to carry either the Easter basket that she got from my mom or one of my crocs on her arm like a purse and act like she is shopping.

Elmo is still our favorite character right now. Ailise is always saying elma and point him out on everything that she sees. She loves to watch Seasame Street just to see Elmo. She also knows Cookie Monster which calls Cookie and Big Bird which she tries to say but its not quite big bird yet. This past week Ailise learned what a cow, horse and dog says. Sometimes she will do what a duck says. It is so funny to listen to her make these sounds.

She loves for you to sing If your Happy and You Know it and she will clap her hands and something she will stomp her feet. She also likes Ring a Round the Rosey she will turn in circles while you sing it.

New words that Ailise can say: apple, ove u (love you), hank u (thank you), and of course all the other things she has been saying. She loves to cross her arms and say no when she does not want to something.

I have started letting Ailise wash her hands in the sink now instead of me cleaning them with a wipe all the time. She LOVES this she gets so excited and laughs when we wash her hands.

Ailise is still a dancing machine. She will dance to anything including the songs that her toys play but her favorite song right now to dance to is Katy Perry's ET. We love to watch her dance.

This little girl has such a good personality and is almost always is a good mood. If we having a bad day all we have to do is watch her for a few minutes and we feel so much better. She gives the sweetest hugs and kisses that anyone could ask for and she is not stingy with her hugs most of the time. Sometimes kisses are a little stingy if you ask for them but if she wants to give kisses she will give 4 or 5 at a time. I love that i can sit on the floor and Ailise can be on the other side of the room and I can say her name and hold my arms out wide and she comes running across the room with her arms out and gives me a big hug. She also loves for you to chase her and act like you are going to get her. She will just squil and laugh all the way across the house if you are chasing her. Even though she is in a good mood she has started whining ALOT. Sometimes she does not know if she wants to whine or laugh but I have to say that whining noise is getting louder and louder and more often and that is one thing that can drive us crazy really fast. If you tell her no to anything or not right now she whines and cries like you just crushed her feelings.

Ailise has also started going to story hour on Wednesday with Wade's mom. She enjoys going and being around all of the kids. I got to take her one Wed this past month and she had a blast I think her favorite part was the craft because she was hyper and did not want to sit through the story part.

Going to the mall is not same anymore as it was when she was little because now she wants to ride on the rides. I try to walk the mall when the weather is cold or wet but now everytime we pass the rides she starts trying to get out of her stroller and whining. Usually when I am on the end of my last lap I will let her ride one but then she wants to walk the rest of the way through the mall instead of getting back in her stroller.

My mom and Dave came in a few weekends ago and brought Ailise her Easter basket and a couple of pillowcase dresses that my mom had made her. Ailise loved her basket it had 2 new books (one of which was Elmo and one Blue's Clue's) some cute springs socks, a princess ball, and a caterpiller stuffed animal. Her dresses were so cute also one was hot pink with zebra on the bottom and the other was green with monkeys on it.

I could go on and on about this budle of joy that has changed our lives forever but I will just leave you with a few pictures from this month this month got a little longer than I had planned again.
