23 months already

Another month has already flown by and now we are only a few shorts away from Ailise turning 2 years old. Time is going by so fast and she is growing up way to fast. This past month has been a very busy month and it will continue to be that way thru at least the first part of January.

This past month we celebrated Thanksgiving. This year we were very thankful that my mom and Dave have been able to move back to Madisonville. They got to start moving into there house on Thanksgiving day. We had a great dinner at Wade’s mom and dad house on Thanksgiving Day and then we had another great meal in Paducah at my moms sisters house on Saturday. Like always it was time of good food and family. I forgot to take my camera with me to both mealsL.

We went to Pattis veterans day weekend to eat and look at lights with Wade's mom and dad. The food was delicious like always and lights we so pretty. This was a great way to start the holiday season.

We have been trying for weeks now to get a picture of Ailise with Santa. Unfortunately it has not worked out yet. Every time that we have seen Santa or Sante as Ailise calls him she will go up and talk to him and wave at him but she refuses to sit on his lap for a picture. So it may to the point of mommy having to be in the picture also. When we try to get her to sit she says “no mommy lap” we have a little bit longer to try but I will be sure to post whatever picture we can get.

Ailise is getting to be such a big girl. Here is what all we are up to now at 23 months.
** Is really showing interest in using the potty. She pee pees in the potty almost every night after her bath and sometimes she will tell you during the day. We still have a lot of work but at least we are getting a good start. Also she has pooped in the potty one time.

**Talking is def not a problem at our house. I think Ailise talks from the time she wakes up until she goes to bed almost nonstop. She can say so many things now and she is starting to put phrases and little sentences together. Some of her common sayings are: daddy come, daddy stop, mommy/daddy sit, mommy stay, oh pretty, I don’t know where, I see, made a mess, missed it, poopoo potty, daddy did it, morning papa/daddy, get it, I got it, kitty where you. Some newer words she says are Squirrel, spider, butterfly, santé, cherish, cup.

**Climbing is something that she loves to do. She can now climb onto our couch and the chair in Wade’s computer room by herself. She also tries to climb in and out of the bathtub by herself sometimes (which scares me). She still climbs on everything possible I think she is part monkey sometimes.

**Sleeping like always continues to be an on again off again situation. Sometimes she will see really good sometimes she goes to bed really good but then wakes up and hour or so later and is ready to play. Nights are still very long at our house most of the time.

**When it comes to eating Ailise is still a pretty picky eater and she only eats when she wants to. Somedays she eats really really good then the next day she may not eat much at all.

** Ailise loves to sing and dance. Right now she loves to sing jingle bells, ittsy bittys spider, kookaburra, wheels on the bus, and she is starting to sing row row row your boat. We have some of the musical Snoopy’s out as part of our Christmas decorations and she loves to play them and dance to them. She will dance to any music. Now you can ask her to shake her butt and she will lean over and shake her butt in the air it is so funny.

**Baby dolls are a big thing at our house now and I have a feeling they are going to become a bigger thing after Christmas. She loves to carry her baby doll everywhere with her. I mean everywhere right now the baby goes in the car with us it goes in the grocery store with us anywhere we go baby goes. She also has one of her old bottles that she found in the back of the island that she never used and uses it to feed her baby. After she eats then she puts baby in her highchair and plays with her there.

**Ailise wants to be so independent these days. She tries to put on her own clothes, she wants to sit on the bar stools with her daddy now instead of her high chair, she wants to walk everywhere we go (no stroller, shopping carts or being held), she wants to drink from big girl cups now.

**Ailise still loves to read. Someday we read all of her books 2 or 3 times a day.

**Bathtime is still one area that we never have to battle. She loves baths and playing in the water. She will now lay on her belly in the tub and kick her legs and say swim swim. She also loves to splash.

**Ailise loves to color and draw. She will sit at her little desk and color and tell you everyone that is in her coloring books. Now you will say Pluto eyes and color his eyes, and name each part that she is coloring.

Well I guess that is all for now I will hopefully be doing several updates over the next few weeks with Christmas, New Years and Ailise’s Birthday all very soon.
