22 month update

 Wow it is already November. I can not believe another month has already passed and we are almost through another year. This past month has been pretty busy but I know the next few months are going to be really busy with all the holidays and birthdays that we have coming up.

This past month we had Halloween which was a lot of fun. This year Ailise dressed up as Minnie Mouse and she was so cute. She got to trick or treat on Sunday evening at church’s annual trunk or treat event. She had a blast and was very polite and said thank you to everyone that gave her candy. Then on Halloween we went to a trick or treat event sponsored by the bank at WTTL radio station. She had a blast there was someone dressed up as Sylvester the cat and she absolutely loved it. She kept hollering kitty kitty and waiving at him. Then after Wade got home from work we headed out to several friends and family houses. By the time we got to Wade’s mom and dads Ailise was def getting worn out.

This past month we also had family pictures taken. Jill Bennett with Live Laugh Love photography did our pictures and they turned out really good. We had them made at the city park. Ailise was great during the pictures especially considering that she had not had a nap. But after the photo shoot she feel asleep in the car on the way home.

It has been so nice having my mom and Dave back closer now. Ailise loves getting to see her maw and granpa more often. Ailise got to spend a few hours with maw after our photo shoot while Wade and I went to Evansville for a date night and start our Christmas shopping.

Last weekend we put our Christmas tree up and got out all of inside decorations. We love having the house decorated for Christmas it makes it feel so warm and cozy.  Ailise loves to the Christmas tree but we are going to have a hard time keeping her from touching all the ornaments. She will walk around the tree and name all the ornaments that she knows, she says dog, bear, pooh, Mickey, Pluto, goofy, car, ball.

Now on to what all Ailise is doing these days.

Bath time is still one of her favorite parts of the day. I think she would play in the tub and splash for hours if we would let her. The floor, walls and I are our usually covered in water by the time she is finished. She loves to play with her bubbles and her bath toys. She has learned how to feel up her little water bucket and then dump it out everywhere.

She loves to throw now. She will throw everything. She throws her balls, stuffed animals, bath toys and even her food. We are having a hard time getting her not to throw her food but everything is so cute. She will say throw throw and then throw whatever she has as hard as she can. This little girl def has an arm on her so maybe she will be a softball player someday.

Ailise is talking up a storm. She talks all the time and most of the time you can understand what she is saying but sometimes she will still jabber. She is also starting to make phrases. Right now some of her favorite phases are I got it, I get it, I see, and excuse me. She also says sleepy, hot, stop, stay, move, sit, potty, ride, color, water (waler), Dora, boots, Elmo, Bert, cookie, Grover, big bird, Zoë, Diego, blues clues, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto. Goofy, Donald, daisy, Pete, mint, eat, climb, pillow, choo choo, car, mine, book, read, bed, pumpkin, scarecrow.

She loves to read her little books. We will sit in her floor and read all of her books some days and some of them several times. I’m glad that she likes to read she knows what is going to happen in some of the books before we get to it. She also loves to sing. Ever since we went to the zoo back the first of October and she saw a kookaburra and I sang her the kookaburra song she has been hooked on it. She also likes to sing rock a bye baby, twinkle twinkle little star. She will now sing a few of the words with you in the songs.

This little girl loves to run in circles. She makes me dizzy just watching her. Sometimes she wants to me to spin with her but that usually does not last long because I get dizzy quickly.

Ailise still loves to be outside but those days are getting fewer and fewer. But we have been very lucky to have these warmer days as long as we have. She loves to run and play in the leaves, swing and ride her Dora four wheeler.

Eating is not a strong part of our day right now. She is still very picky on what she will eat and when she will eat. Then now we add in the fact that she wants to throw her food on the floor and dump her drink in the floor.

Bedtimes is still a sporadic subject sometimes she will go to bed really good and other nights it a battle for up to hours. Most of the time once she is asleep she stays asleep for the most part but we still have a few nights that she wakes up. Especially last week when she was not feeling very good.

Ailise has such a fun a loving personality. She loves to give hugs and kisses. Now after she gives Wade and me a kiss then she will push us toward each other and she wants us to give each other a kiss and hope then she will kiss and hug us again. It is so cute and she is so affectionate.

Her favorite shows right now are still Dora, Diego, Elmo, Mickey and Jake’s Big Music show. I don’t even know if Jakes big music show still comes on Nick Jr but it on a couple of DVDs that she has and she loves to watch it.

Ailise still loves to color, draw and play with stickers. I never knew that stickers could provide so many hours of entertainment but right now they do. Some days we will find stickers all over the house and on all of our clothing.

She loves to open and close doors. Now that she can reach and turn the door knob she tries to open all the doors in the house including the pantry and the closet where we keep our brooms and small appliance. She loves to open the door and get the broom or swiffer out and clean the floors.

Ailise is starting to show interested in potty training. We are not really pushing it put if she tells us that she needs to pee pee we will put her on the potty and she will go. She loves to use the potty. She gets super excited when she goes pee pee in the potty. Usually we only do this after she gets out of the bathtub when she needs to potty before we put her diaper and pajamas on. Yesterday though Wade’s mom said that she went potty at there house during the day. I think she will start catching on pretty quickly but it is not going to be something that we force on her especially with the holidays coming up.

Right now Ailise is wearing a size 5 diaper. Clothing she still wears some 18 months some 24 month and even some 2t just depends on the brand and how they run. Her pants are mostly 18 months still for length but she wears a few 24 months. She is wearing a 6 shoe.

Well I guess that is all that I can think of for right now to update on. I’m sure there are plenty of things that I am missing but I will update again next month or maybe sooner.
